There is a property that I came across in a town in the area where I live, I can tell the place has been abandoned for some time now, I would really like to turn this place into my home. Any advice would be helpful. Advice as far as what questions I should ask, how to get a good price for it, etc? Being vacant is not the same as abandoned. You need to track down the owner, you can get the name from the tax assessor, in some states the address too. From there you would need to offer to buy the house from them. They may or may not want to sell, you can’t force it.
